A man is suing because a Madonna concert didn’t start on time

He did pay quite a lot of money for his tickets, in fairness.

It can be very annoying when you’ve paid good money to see your favourite artist live in concert, and they end up coming out late for the gig, or stopping it early.

We’re sure it’s happened to you, and we’re sure you weren’t too pleased about it.

But were you so annoyed that you pursued legal action? Probably not.

Nate Hollander from Florida on the other hand? That’s exactly what he’s doing.

Hollander bought three tickets for a Madonna concert in Miami, which cost him roughly €930.

At the time Hollander bought the tickets, the show was scheduled to start at 8:30p.m. It was later rescheduled to start at 10.30pm, and he did not want to stay out that late.

According to NBC News, he tried to get a refund for the concert, but he was refused, so he has decided to sue Live Nation, the concert promoter.

“Ticketholders had to work and go to school the next day, which prevented them from attending a concert that would end at around 1:00 a.m.,” the suit claims.

“Hollander attempted, without success, to obtain a refund for the three tickers purchased for the Madonna concert.”

Hollander is suing for breach of contract and negligent misrepresentation and is seeking damages.

He claims Madonna “knew or should have known that said concerts would not start at 8:30 p.m.” due to her showing up late to previous shows.

He has a point. It’s not like she was only four minutes late or anything…

Sorry.
