The Gallagher brothers will perform together this summer for the first time in 16 years.
Oasis have announced a brand new film from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight to go along with their upcoming reunion tour.
Knight, who wrote the script for the Disney+ series A Thousand Blows, will produce the film, which will be directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace and distributed by Sony Music Vision.
A release date has not been set for the film at the moment.
It is not the first documentary the band have had produced about them, as in 2021, Oasis Knebworth 1996 was released, showcasing the band’s iconic two-night stint playing at Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire.
The iconic band announced their reunion back in August.
They had originally split up in 2009 following a backstage bust-up at the Rock en Seine festival.
At the time, Noel had said that he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”
After more than 15 years from that brawl, the pair announced their return last summer, with a tour of the UK and Ireland.
Oasis’ reunion tour kicks off on July 4th when they play two nights at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
They will then play Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Stadium, Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium and Dublin’s Croke Park throughout July, August and September.
The Mancunian brothers will also play in Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia, America, Mexico and Canada.
Prices of tickets caused outrage when they went on sale in September, with many fans angry at the inflated prices that they had to pay.
Many were only given the option of purchasing ‘in demand standing’ tickets, for more than £350 (€416), more than double the £148 (€176) tickets that had initially gone on sale just hours earlier.
Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” allowed them to raise prices in accordance with market demands.
The outrage from fans led to the group turning off dynamic pricing for their international dates.
