WATCH: People are sharing George Michael’s absolutely fantastic appearance on Carpool Karaoke

Paul Moore

Such a self-deprecating and sharp sense of humour. This is excellent.

Following the tragic news that the iconic George Michael has passed away, there have been plenty of extremely loving and emotional tributes paid to the former Wham! singer.

In the famous video for their hit single Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley decided to wear the famous ‘Choose Life’ t-shirts and while this is clearly a period of mourning for those that loved Michael’s music and career, his fans have decided to celebrate his life in the best way possible.

It’s clear that George Michael had an incredibly sharp and self-deprecating sense of humour, after all, who else would use one of their most embarrassing moments as inspiration for a music video that the whole world could see?

If the lyrics and video for Outside wasn’t enough proof of his wicked sense of humour, this Carpool Karaoke that he did for Comic Relief should definitely do it.

Before Adele, Michelle Obama and Justin Bieber jumped into the passenger seat that’s next to James Corden, it was actually George Michael that inspired the sketch for Comic Relief in 2011.

His delivery of the line “such a pair of closet bummers” is superb!

Take a look and prepare to laugh your head off.
