It couldn’t be a nicer day for a swim.
The weather is just peachy down in Stradbally, Co. Laois – which is great news for anybody who’s come down looking for a swim in the lake, which has been opened to the public for the first time in 2016.
We’ve seen the first few festival-goers avail of the new feature and we have to say that it simply couldn’t be a better day for it.
The lake swimmers at #EPFestival have the weather they were looking for. Scorcher in Stradbally so far – 17° & dry. pic.twitter.com/w1D3FTDy4W

Any adult is allowed into the lake as long as they’re a competent swimmer. If you’re at EP, you can swim in the lake between these times:
- Friday: 2pm -5pm families only / 5.30pm-7.00pm adults only
- Saturday: 10am-1pm families only / 1.30pm-7.00pm adults only
- Sunday: 10am-1pm families only / 1.30pm-7.00pm adults only
It certainly looks like a lot of fun.
