WATCH: Rick Astley treats crowd to a medley in Dublin pub

Rick Astley Dublin pub

He’ll never give you up, let you down, run around, or desert you.

What he will do is entertain fans at random when the mood strikes.

Having performed opening honours for Take That in Dublin’s 3Arena on Monday evening, the one and only Rick Astley took it upon himself to pay a visit to a local nightspot for another tune or three.

By all accounts, the 3Arena show was a belter, but an up close and personal impromptu gig for a handful of surprised fans? That’s where it’s at.

And so it was that Astley stopped by Bourke’s bar at Whelan’s in the capital and proceeded to belt out a few hits for the locals, including, but of course, a bash of ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’.

It would have been rude not to.

Asked to sum it all up, the man himself kept it simple:

“A proper Irish night out in Whelan’s.”

Indeed.

Check him out in action, giving it his all for his signature number, as well as Calvin Harris/Rag’n’Bone Man chart smash ‘Giant’ and a tribute to the Take That boys for good measure, below…
