The nominees for the Choice Music Prize for Irish album of the year has been announced today.

The album award was won by The Gloaming last year and it has a roll of honour that includes the likes of Villagers, Jape, Julie Feeney, The Divine Comedy, Adrian Crowley and Two Door Cinema Club.

The winners on the night will receive €10,000 in prize money as well as the prestigious accolade.

The nominees for the Choice Music Prize are:

  • Jape - This Chemical Sea
  • Le Galaxie - Le Club

  • Soak - Before We Forgot How To Dream
  • Villagers - Darling Arithmetic
  • Young Wonder - Birth

The Choice Music Prize, which is in association with IMRO and IMRA, final will take place at Vicar Street on Thursday March 3.
