One of the country’s finest and most innovative acts are reforming for one night only this winter.

The Redneck Manifesto will headline Dublin’s Vicar Street on 30 November as part of their 20th anniversary celebrations.

Richie Egan – who also trades as two-time Choice Music Prize winner Jape – took to Twitter on Thursday morning to announce the news:

Initially formed in 1998 as a four-piece instrumental outfit, TRM would add a couple of extra heads as they set off on jaunts around Europe, USA and Japan.

Rightly regarded as a beloved cult favourite, the Rednecks have released five critically-acclaimed albums to date, having paved the way for the likes of And So I Watch You From Afar and Adebisi Shank.

TRM previously came out of hibernation in early 2017, further cementing their reputation as one of Ireland’s must-see live encounters.

Tickets for the 20th anniversary headliner go on sale this Friday 24 August at 10am via Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.
