The big gig announcements just keep on coming with the news that enduring prog-metal outfit Tool will return to Ireland for a show in 2022.
The band, fronted by Maynard James Keenan, last graced Ireland in 2006 as part of the 10,000 Days tour.
Four years prior, they found themselves thrust into the headline slot of the inaugural Irish Ozzfest at the last minute in place of Ozzy Osbourne, who had fallen ill.
There would not be another Irish Ozzfest, sadly.
In any event, Tool are finally getting out on the European road in support of 2019 album Fear Inoculum, which was pretty good if not quite a classic.
The band will play Dublin's 3Arena on Friday, 6 May, 2022.
Tickets, which appear to be priced from an eye-watering €92, will go on sale this Friday, 1 October, at 9am via Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.
