Fancy three days of great music, amazing activities and camping in Cork this July?

Of course you do! Well, the good news is that Townlands Carnival is making an eagerly-awaited return to Macroom from Friday, 21 July, to Sunday, 23 July. The organisers have put together another eclectic line-up of international and domestic talent that promises to make it a weekend to remember.

You can enjoy everything from reggae and rock to folk and blues to dance and dnb. Talented performance artists and comedy acts will also add to the festival’s carnival atmosphere.

With over 100 acts performing, you’ll get to enjoy an impressive mix of great music, performance art and genre-defying entertainment. The old Rusheen Farm estate also provides a unique setting for the Townlands Carnival and it will be transformed into a purpose-built festival village for the weekend.

Maybe you’re tempted by that line-up but don’t fancy spending three days in a sweaty tent. Fear not! The glamping facilities at the festival mean that even the most pampered festival goer can find an option to suit them.

If you want to really push the boat out, you can choose a luxury Airstream and enjoy cosy beds, fluffy towels, a toilet, a hot shower, fully equipped kitchen, central heating, air con, an entertainment system and a fridge. What a time to be alive.

The glamping facilities on offer also include American tipis, Mongolian yurts and Bell tents. They’re already set up for guests and carpeted, which is a level of luxury that isn’t always on offer to long-suffering festival fans.

It’s not just a party for hedonists either, with a family-friendly vibe and lots of activities to keep the kids safe and happy. The children’s area has performances and circus-themed workshops that will ensure your little ones have as much fun as you do.

Early bird tickets have already sold out but there are still some great value Tier Two three-day festival tickets available from only €105. You’ll need to get in quickly before they sell out.

Townlands Carnival encompasses five stages over three days within a purpose built village, allowing festivals goers to become fully immersed in the carnival atmosphere.

Townlands Carnival promotes cutting edge Irish and international acts alongside diverse art and culture elements. The festival promises to be uplifting and eclectic, showcasing some of the most exciting and diverse musicians from home and abroad.
