The line-up just got even better.

Brought to you by Townlands Carnival.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better.

They really are spoiling you! Townlands Carnival has added even more exciting acts to its line-up with just a few weeks to go before the festival kicks off. The much-anticipated festival makes a welcome return from Friday, 21 July, to Sunday, 23 July, in Macroom, Co Cork.

The festival’s eclectic line-up already includes the likes of The Rubberbandits, Brushy One String, Krafty Kuts, MC Dynamite, Stomptown Brass, Hermitage Green, Le Boom and much, much more. As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve now added a raft of new acts to the diverse roster of artists from home and abroad.

What’s not to love about an exciting musical line-up and a brilliant camping set up against the stunning backdrop of the old Rusheen Farm estate in Macroom?

The newly-announced acts include Irish festival stalwarts King Kong Company, who’ll bring their swaggering blend of dance, dub and rock to the stage. Their show-stealing festival performances have been earning them a name as a must-see live act so they’re a welcome addition to the line-up.

They’ll be joined by the surreal talents of Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists and native sons of Cork, The Lords of Strut. Cork DJ and producer Stevie G and the Andrea Williams Dancers will also be appearing on the Main Stage and you’ll be treated to a combination of hip hop, dancehall, jazz and r’n’b influences.

The Goat Shed collective will return to tear things up with sets from P-Hocto and Gary Fitz and takeovers from Humans of the Sesh. The Riddim Shack will also feature the Jamaican reggae/dub/dancehall stylings of Cian Finn, Solo Banton, Wynton Kelly Stevenson and Flipside Selekta.

Needless to say, those are some exciting additions to what was already a diverse and talented line-up.

Other events include a Digital Scavenger Hunt to unleash your inner Sherlock Holmes, Ringo: Music Bingo for quiz fiends, Dead Cool Songs’ silent disco and the Irish-themed cinematic distractions of CineCeoil. And if you want to take a luxury camping approach, you can book a yurt from Silk Road Tents or stretch to an Airstream if you fancy flashing the cash.
