Nothing but respect.
You may remember the recent reports about Eagles of Death Metal playing at U2’s gig at Paris’ AccorHotels Arena and while the band didn’t make an appearance on Sunday, they’ve proven to be arguably the bravest band in music after performing to the crowds in Paris this evening, less than a month after the horrific shootings at the Bataclan which claimed the lives of 89 people.
Take a look as Bono and the rest of the band are more than happy to give EODM the stage for what must have been an extremely emotional cover of Patti Smith’s classic track ‘People Have the Power’.
Here’s some more footage and in this first clip, you can clearly hear singer Jesse Hughes thanking the Parisian people and U2 for their warm welcome and generosity.
