Video: The Ohio State marching band tribute to classic rock songs is fantastic

"I was born in a cross-fire hurricane."

“I was born in a cross-fire hurricane.”

It’s very rare that JOE sticks around to watch the half-time entertainment at a live match; the draw of the bar, bathroom or food kiosk is usually too strong, but we would definitely make an exception for the Ohio State marching band.

We love watching these incredible musicians perform during half-time at college games and their latest effort is, once again, stunning.

During the interval at the recent game between Ohio State and Rutgers University, OSU’s marching band wowed the crowd with a blistering performance that paid tribute to some of our favourite classic rock ‘n’ roll songs.

Some of the tunes covered include Van Halen’s ‘Jump’, The Who’s ‘Pinball Wizard’, The Rolling Stones’ ‘Jumping Jack Flash’, The Scorpions’ ‘Hurricane’ and Kiss’ ‘Rock and Roll All Nite.’

Sit back and enjoy…

If that wasn’t enough marching band action for you then take a look at their tributes to famous TV shows or classic movie themes.
