Very sad news.
The Wanted’s Tom Parker has passed away at the age of 33 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2020.
His wife Kelsey confirmed the news on Instagram, revealing that he passed away peacefully on Tuesday (30 March) with all of his family by his side.
“Our hearts are broken. Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence,” she said.
“We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end.
“I’m forever proud of you.”
Parker had been a member of the popular boy band since its formation in 2009, achieving a string of hit singles with the group including songs ‘All Time Low’ and ‘Glad You Came’.
In 2020, he announced that he had been diagnosed with an inoperable grade 4 glioblastoma.
