All proceeds will go to Pieta House.

Rising Dublin indie outfit Swords have unveiled the video for ‘Battle’, a song that aims to shine a light on the struggle with mental health.

The solemn single is out now on iTunesSpotify and Google Music, with all downloads, streams, sales and royalties going to Pieta House, which specialises in the prevention of suicide and self-harm.

The band are also encouraging people to donate at www.pieta.ie/donate.

“We wrote this song about the feeling that hits you when getting out of bed feels like heading to the trenches,” says singer Diane Anglim.

“Like you have to fight an invisible enemy, and win, just to stay afloat and stay ‘normal’. This takes a lot of energy, and can make you feel like you’re crazy.”

Anyone experiencing difficulties with their mental health can contact Pieta House on 1800 247 247.
