Sell to the person, not the company

There are growing fears that Ireland may suffer as a result of an attack on Sellafield after five terrorists were arrested at the nuclear complex.

The five men, all of Asian descent, were pounced upon by armed policemen after being spotted filming close to the entrance of the nuclear plant in Cumbria, which borders the Irish Sea and is only 50 miles from the Irish coast.

The men in question claimed that their sat nav was to blame for guiding them off course having driven from London (how convenient) and last night they were being detained in Manchester under the terrorism act, while four houses in London were raided by the counter-terrorism police.

Following the death of Osama bin Laden at the hands of US forces over the weekend, there are concerns over possible retribution from the radical Islamist group.

Britain is on high alert over the possibility of a nuclear attack after the militant group vowed to unleash ‘nuclear hell’ if bin Laden was ever killed.

Now that his death has come to pass, America and Britain are thought to be most at risk from any Al-Qaeda retribution, with Ireland also in danger of being affected if an attack takes place on British soil.

Given Sellafield’s close proximity to Ireland, any attack on the plant could have grave implications for people in this country, particularly on the east coast, with radioactive clouds likely to drift across the Irish Sea in the event of a nuclear explosion.
