A nun with a gambling addiction in America has been accused of stealing more than $128,000 from two rural parishes.

The staggering sum was used to fuel gambling sprees and she now faces a criminal charge for grand larceny following the theft, though it is expected she will plead not guilty.
The nun, a member of the Sister of St. Francis near Buffalo, is said to have stolen the money from two rural parishes and spent it all in casinos.
A provincial minister has said that the nun has been in treatment for more than nine months for her problem, and has maintained her recovery since leaving rehab.
