Over €1.3 million of cannabis and cocaine seized in Dublin

66 kilos of cannabis along with a smaller quantity of cocaine and mixing agent was seized.

Gardaí have arrested two men following a drug raid that resulted in over €1.3 million worth of contraband being seized.

The search operation was conducted by members of the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and the Special Crime Task Force.

A business premises in west Dublin and two residential properties were searched on Monday evening (29 November).

During these searches, 66 kilos of cannabis along with a smaller amount of cocaine and mixing agent with an estimated value of €1,320,000 was seized.

€33,090 in cash was also seized along with two vehicles.

Two men aged 35 and 36 were arrested on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking related offences, contrary to the provisions of section 15, Misuse of Drugs Act 1977/84.

The arrested men are currently being detained, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Finglas and Mountjoy Garda Stations.
