The incident took place on Monday morning.
11 people appeared before Longford District Court today (20 December) following an incident of violent disorder that occurred on the main street in the town on Monday.
All 11 people that appeared in court remain in custody.
The court appearance follows two further arrests that were made in connection with the incident.
The 11 individuals will now appear before a special sitting of the court set to commence on Friday, 27 December at 5pm.
The individuals in question were arrested by Gardaí on Monday arising from public order incidents that took place on the main street of Longford town at approximately 9.40am.
At the time, Gardaí requested and received assistance from the regional support unit in dealing with the incident.
