This kid will go far… or to prison…
Nobody likes going to the dentist but like death, taxes and Pitbull songs, it can’t be avoided. But the importance of a good dental hygiene regime was not enough for one French 12-year-old, who decided that he couldn’t face the dreaded chair.
According to a report in The Local, he faked his own kidnapping, which is a little extreme to say the least. back in May police in the Alpine town of St Gervais saw a boy hiding in the bushes. They approached him and he told them that he had escaped from an abductor in a nearby town.
The youngster was able to give the police a lot of detail about the man who grabbed him, describing him as a muscular European man in his thirties and he had escaped when the van he was being held in slowed down in the village of St Gervais.
The boy also described the car he was in, the clothes of the man who captured him and the police began a month-long hunt for the dangerous man on the loose.
However, after reviewing CCTV footage and bringing the boy in for more questioning, he admitted that he had dreamt up the whole thing to get out of a dental appointment.
We imagine that his next trip to the dentist might be the only time his parents let him leave the house for a quite a while…
