Tragic news.
A teenage girl has died and four other people have been injured in a car crash in Tipperary on Thursday (15 February).
Gardaí say that at around 6.45pm, they – alongside emergency services – responded to a two-car collision on the R503 at Rearcross.
A 15-year-old girl, who was a passenger in one of the cars, was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Her body has been transferred to the mortuary at Limerick University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

The three other occupants of that car – a man in his 20s, a woman in her 20s and another girl in her mid-teens – as well as the driver of the second car – a woman – were transported by ambulance to Limerick University Hospital for assessment.
Their injuries are not deemed to be life-threatening.
“Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Additionally, anyone with camera footage (including dashcam) from the area at the time is requested to provide it to Gardaí,” a Garda spokesperson said.
