It’s been a great day on the jobs front for Ireland.
We already covered the terrific news about Facebook creating 2,000 jobs in Meath, and now Cork and Galway have more positive announcements.
According to RTÉ, Hortonworks, the Californian-based software company, will be opening an office in Cork city and creating 50 jobs in sectors such as; IT, HR, marketing, tech support, finance and operations. More good news for Cork is that ten new additions will also be made at Fortuity, the Irish technology company, which is located in Carrigtwohill.
Also, in Galway, technology companies Ice Cube and Tec Support are merging and, over the next three years, will bring in 100 new staff.
Meanwhile, #Dublinplan has been big on Twitter today, with the government keen to promote various job opportunities in the capital.
