Sad news.
A 23-year old Irish man has been found dead in San Francisco in the United States. He has been named as Dean MacCearain, from Co Monaghan.
The cause of his death is not yet known but it is believed that he has been on holidays in the area for the last week.
The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed it is providing consular assistance to his family.
MacCearain was the subject of a tribute from Panti Bliss on Facebook earlier, having featured in one the standout scenes in the new movie about Panti, Queen of Ireland, which is currently showing in cinemas.
