The incident occurred on Sunday night.
A man in his 30s is recovering in hospital after being stabbed multiple times by a gang in Cork.
Gardaí at Gurranabraher in Cork are investigating the attack, which took place at Ardmore Avenue in Knocknaheeney at approximately 11.50pm on Sunday night.
The 30-year-old man received a number of stab wounds and was taken to Cork University Hospital.
The scene has been preserved for a technical examination. Investigations are ongoing.
At present, no arrests have been made.
