A Dublin institution has been named as Europe’s leading tourist attraction

Congratulations

Conor Heneghan

We’ll drink to that.

The Guinness Storehouse in Dublin has been named as Europe’s leading tourist attraction at the prestigious World Travel Awards in Sardinia.

Often the first stop on the itineraries of tourists travelling to Ireland and beloved by people in this country, the Guinness Storehouse fought off competition from well-known landmarks such as Buckingham Palace in London, the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Acropolis in Athens.

The Guinness Storehouse attracted a whopping 1.25 million visitors in 2014 and on the back of a prestigious award like this, those numbers are likely to get even bigger in the coming years.

Wonder what keeps ‘em coming back for more?
