A forklift, a ladder and an incredibly dodgy method of changing a light bulb in Cork

In Ireland, we don’t always do things by the book but we’ll get things done by hook or by crook, a fairly accurate description of the method used to change a lightbulb outside an office building in Cork yesterday.

We’re no experts in the matter but we’re pretty sure that what you can see in the picture below – where a guy is standing on a ladder which is perched on a pallet that has been elevated to the maximum height of the forklift below – isn’t exactly a textbook method of changing a bulb located a fair distance up a light pole.
