A Longford GAA club website has been taken over by a Syrian hacker group

An unusual choice, no doubt.

Fr. Manning Gaels GAA, Drumlish, Co. Longford will forgive us for saying that they have little, if no, part to play whatsoever in the international community’s current dealings in wartorn Syria.

Nevertheless, their website, www.frmanninggaels.ie, has been targeted by hackers who are seeking to draw attention to the purported effects of current international attitudes on cities like Madaya.

The message by hackers does not appear to be one of violence, rather one of directing attention to the plight of communities in Syria and Palestine.

The website now also displays the Syrian flag and this video, featuring starving people in the city of Maday:
