Two arrested over accommodation fraud scheme in south Dublin

The arrests were made on Thursday morning.

Two people have been arrested in connection with an ongoing Garda investigation into accommodation fraud in Dublin.

Gardaí arrested one man and one woman on Thursday (29 September).

During the course of these arrests, two separate residences in Dublin 13 were searched by Gardaí from the Blackrock Detective Unit, assisted by uniformed personnel from Blackrock and members from Raheny Garda Station.

During the searches, Gardaí seized a sum of cash, mobile phones and a number of documents.

A 30-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were subsequently arrested. They have been detained at Blackrock Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

Investigations are ongoing.
