Mackerel removed from Irish supermarket shelves because of high levels of histamine

Aldi is recalling 300g Skellig Bay Mackerel Fillets from its shelves, the company has said on its website.

The product code on the item is 68124 and the batch affected has a use by date of 30/06/17.

Skellig Bay Mackerel Fillets are being recalled because high levels of histamine in the product have been detected. The batch affected is past the ‘Use By’ date but customers may have frozen this product.

If you have this product at home, customers have been told that they can return it to their nearest Aldi store where a full refund will be issued.
