It goes without saying, but don’t fall for it.

Aldi Ireland have warned customers to beware of a fraudulent voucher scam purporting to offer a voucher worth €150 as part of a ‘Christmas celebration’.

The scam involves a message sent on WhatsApp and other messaging services which reads: “ALDI is giving away €150 Free Voucher to everyone on christmas Celebration, go here to get it”, followed by a link that, when clicked, asks claimants to share the offer with 20 friends/groups on WhatsApp before entering their address to claim the voucher in 1-2 days by mail.

Aldi Ireland issued an alert via their Twitter account on Thursday which read: “ALERT: There’s a hoax €150 Aldi voucher offer circulating through messaging services including WhatsApp.

“This offer is FRAUDULENT and CANNOT be redeemed in our stores. Please do not click the link. We’re investigating.”
