Two others were charged in connection with the incident earlier this week.

A third juvenile has been charged in relation to an incident that occurred at Howth Junction DART station on 1 April this year.

Following directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions, Gardaí have charged a male juvenile who was previously arrested in relation to the incident of violent disorder.

He is expected to appear before Dublin Children’s Court on Friday morning (12 November).

The incident resulted in a girl falling onto train tracks underneath a stationary train.

Earlier this week, two other juveniles were charged in relation to the incident.

In CCTV footage of the incident on 1 April, the 17-year-old girl can be seen hurrying along the platform when a youth appears to lunge at her, while another appears to thrust the wheel of his bike at her, causing her to fall between the platform and the train.

Speaking to The Irish Sun after the incident, the girl’s father explained that his daughter had been left shaken by what had happened.

“She’s okay, she is okay now, she is still a bit upset about it,” he said.

“It is an ongoing investigation. At the moment she is fine.”
