Strong words from the TD here.
The New York Times’ recent apology for their controversial article on the tragic Berkeley deaths hasn’t been welcomed by every Irish person.
Minister of State for Equality Aodhán Ó Ríordáin, is just one of the many Irish citizens that felt the publication didn’t do enough to appease the pain and disgust that was felt among Irish people who found the article to be distasteful and hurtful following the tragic loss.
Here’s what the TD had to say on Twitter earlier.
.@nytimes Your attempt at an apology for your offensive #Berkeley article is pathetic. It’s clearly futile appealing to your better nature.
