It is believed that there were up to four people in the vehicle in question.

Gardaí in Meath are appealing to any potential witnesses to an incident that took place in the Enfield area, between 3pm and 4pm on Sunday 3 November.

On the day, Gardaí were called following reports of three or four males in a Silver Lexus who were said to be acting suspiciously in the area.

Upon arrival, Gardaí observed the Silver Lexus reversing and hitting a parked vehicle, before colliding with the Garda patrol car.

The Lexus then mounted the footpath and left the scene at speed in the direction of Rathmolyon.

At some point during this incident, the Lexus lost its back bumper, and Gardaí have also stated that the vehicle is being sought in connection to other suspicious activities.

Gardaí are appealing to any road users with camera footage travelling in the area at the time to come forward, as well as anyone who may have seen a Silver Lexus with a missing back bumper after 3.15pm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Trim Garda Station on 046 9431222, or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
