A search operation was carried out on Monday.

Investigating Gardaí from Blanchardstown, County Dublin, have arrested three males in their 20s and 30s in connection with a shooting that took place at Blakestown Road on Wednesday 6 March.

On Monday (17 June), a number of searches in the Hartstown area of Clonsilla were carried out by Gardaí with the assistance of the Armed Support Unit and members of the Irish Defence Forces.

The search came as part of an ongoing Garda strategy tackling organised crime gangs.

During the search, army engineers located a container with approximately €9000 in cash buried beneath the surface.

As part of the operation, local detectives who were supported by the Armed Support Unit conducted a number of searches in Limerick.

One man was arrested as a result.

All four men arrested are currently in custody in Blanchardstown and Finglas Garda Stations.

They are being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
