The father-of-two said his ‘blood was boiling’.
Arthur Gourounlian has spoken out about how a meeting for his daughter’s christening didn’t go according to plan.
The dad-of-two was clearly upset after discussing baby Blu’s christening with a priest.
Before the meeting, the dad said he was looking forward to planning the special event for his baby girl.
However, he admitted that the meeting was “very short-lived”.
Arthur said on Instagram: “Well guys, what can I say? My meeting with this particular [priest] was very short-lived.
“Having that meeting – my blood was boiling and I couldn’t wait to leave that room.”
Arthur didn’t go into details about the meeting but said he felt so angry during it.
“I’m absolutely appalled and disgusted and it’s 2024. Honestly, I feel so angry inside me — you have no idea. So that church that we were choosing… thank you and goodbye,” he added.
The dad said he and his husband Brian Dowling agreed to have the christening in Dublin after moving from Kildare, but stated that he was naive to think it would be easy.
He told Instagram that the priest they had for Blake’s christening, Father Joe, was incredible but that they now had to find another priest following the move.
“We thought, ‘Let’s have a meeting at the church, let’s see what will happen’. I filled out the form but obviously I was very naive to think that it’s going to be as good as the first time,” he explained.
“And yeah… I was very naive thinking it was going to be as easy as the first time.”
Arthur said they will keep going because they just want the best for Blu.
He stressed: “Blu will be christened. It’s not about Brian and I. It’s about Blu. That’s all I can say.”
