All circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.
A Garda investigation has been launched after a baby was admitted to hospital in Louth.
It’s understood the baby is a nine-week-old girl who suffered serious injuries in Louth on Tuesday and is currently being treated at Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin.
The infant is in a critical condition.
Gardaí in Drogheda confirmed they are investigating all the circumstances which led to an infant being admitted to CHI, Temple Street on 13 September.
