The crafty bast*rds.
Wetherspoons, which currently has four premises in Dublin and one in Cork, are set to raise the price of their pints by 25c.
That’s not the only rise, with shot prices set to be upped by 50c and the cost of food increased as well.
According to the Irish Mirror, a spokesperson for the famous company has admitted the significance of the increase:
“We have regretfully increased our prices by about 25c on most draught products and 50c on spirits.
“We have ended up importing more than anticipated, which has had a significant impact.
“Draught traditional ales now start at around €2.75 and Fosters and Carlsberg and Beamish are €3.75.
“We are also introducing draught Heineken, Coors Light and Budwiser, which we are importing, at €4.50 a pint.”
Stay strong, folks. They’re still handy enough prices.
