Bank of Ireland customers’ payments delayed

Bank of Ireland customers, take note.

Some Bank of Ireland customers have had their payments delayed, the bank confirmed on Thursday morning.

Following complaints made from a number of Bank of Ireland customers, the bank said that payments should be made into their accounts later today.

The bank could not provide an exact time frame with regards to when payments will be made, but said that “the payments should be in customer accounts later this morning”.

Bank of Ireland apologised for any inconvenience that has been caused by the delay.

Social Welfare payments have also been affected by this delay, with a spokesperson for Welfare saying: “We’ve received reports that there is a delay with the Bank of Ireland payment processing system this morning.

“Some Social Welfare payments are affected. Bank of Ireland are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible this morning. We are sorry for the inconvenience involved.”
