Bring on the T

Just what Scotland needs, another redhead!

The BBC have announced that their T in the Park Festival coverage this July will be fronted by County Meath TV presenter, Angela Scanlon.

Speaking to JOE.ie, Scanlon told us she was ready for the gig: “I’ve been told T in the Park is really rowdy but I’m Irish so I’ll be grand.

“I’m sure I will be nervous closer to the time, I just hope I can say Noel Gallagher’s name properly… Gall-a-grr, Gall-a-grr.”

She’ll be grand, she didn’t have any bother with our fearsome Tombola of Truth, even if she still maintains that Chile is the capital of Venezuela.

Scanlon will be co-presenting the BBC3 coverage every evening over the weekend of July 10-12th from 8pm with fellow newcomer, Clara Amfo who has replaced Fearne Cotton on BBC Radio1.

The former RTÉ presenter will be following in the footsteps of Irish, BBC festival presenters like Annie Mac and Colin Murray.

She’ll have plenty of Irish company for the post-festival brews with Hozier, The Riptide Movement, The Strypes, The Script and Gavin James all on the bill.
