Great to hear

Conor Heneghan

Great news.

Dubliner Clodagh Cogley, who was in injured in the tragic balcony collapse in Berkeley that claimed the lives of six Irish students earlier this summer, is back in Ireland and ready to settle into the next phase of her rehabilitation.

An update on Clodagh’s condition was yesterday posted on the Clodagh Cogley Fund Facebook page, which was set up in order to generate funds to support Clodagh’s rehabilitation following the Berkeley tragedy.

The post revealed that Clodagh, having made good progress in a rehabilitation facility in San Jose, has been back in Ireland since the August Bank Holiday weekend and is ready to settle into the next stage of her rehabilitation.

Plans are underway to adapt Clodagh’s house to her needs during rehabilitation, while she was keen to thank everyone for their support since the fund has been set up.

A whopping €109,235 (at the time of writing) of a targeted €150,000 has already been raised in just one month.

Heartfelt sympathy was offered to the families of those who tragically lost their lives in the tragedy, the effects of which are still felt two months on.

Clodagh has been a beacon of positivity from the moment she started her recovery and it’s great to hear that she’s making such good progress.
