Best hotels Ireland 2021

Not sure where ‘Galloway’ is but it’s a fine list, nonetheless…

The 10 best hotels in Ireland have been revealed, thanks to a new reader’s choice list from travel website CN Traveller.

The list comprises hotels found in Dublin, Kildare, Kerry, Laois, Donegal and Galway – though it would be remiss of us not point out that Galway is presented as ‘Galloway’ on the official rundown.

Maybe it’s a pronunciation thing.

In any event, it really is quite an eye-catching array of getaways.

Right at the very top? The Marker Hotel in Dublin, which boasts a reader score of 99.38.

The capital accounts for half of the CN Traveller list, with five Dublin-based hotels taking pride of place. The Westbury (9), The Merrion (8), The Morrison (6) and Conrad Dublin (4) all get to feel very good about themselves, is what we’re getting at.

It’s not all about Dublin, of course. Taking second place on the list is Lough Eske Castle in Donegal, which looks quite lovely in the sunlight, does it not?

Taking the bronze medal is Ballyfinn Demesne in Laois, which was also voted as the number one resort in all of the UK and Ireland in the Travel + Leisure World Best Awards just last month.
