Gloves and scarves at the ready.

Temperatures will drop to as low as zero degrees when a cold spell makes its presence felt throughout the country towards the end of this week. According to Met Éireann, after a mild start to the week, when temperatures will reach as high as 16 degrees on Monday and 14 degrees on Tuesday, the weather will become increasingly bitter as the week goes on, with wintry showers expected from Wednesday onwards. dumbanddumbercold Hail, ground frost, thunder and freezing temperatures are in store, with stiff west to northwesterly winds making it feel even colder than the lowest temperatures of between zero and three degrees on Thursday and Friday. The forecast for the weekend doesn’t sound much better, with unsettled and windy conditions and long spells of heavy rain predicted for next Saturday and Sunday.
