Nobody was left injured as a result of the incident.
Gardaí at Blanchardstown have been alerted to a shooting incident in the Corduff area in North Dublin on Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting took place outside a school on Blanchardstown Road North, at approximately 3.40p.m.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
Gardaí have said that it is a live investigation, and that further updates will be provided at a later stage.
Gardaí in Blanchardstown are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
