
Man arrested following discovery of a body in apartment in Dublin
Enquiries are ongoing.
The body of a man in his late 20s has been discovered in an apartment in Dublin on Saturday (6 August).
The man's body was discovered by Gardaí on the property on Achill Road in Drumcondra on Saturday evening.
His body remains at the scene, which is currently preserved for forensic and technical examination.
The Garda Technical Bureau and the office of the State Pathologist have been notified, with a post-mortem examination set to be arranged.
A section of Griffith Park in Drumcondra has also been sealed off for investigation.
A man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the discovery.
He is currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 in a north Dublin Garda Station, and can be detained for up to seven days.
An incident room has been established at Ballymun Garda Station.
