Homenews

It has been confirmed that a body has been found in the wreckage of Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 116.

There has been a massive search for the bodies of Captain Mark Duffy, winch operator Paul Ormsby and winchman Ciarán Smith after their helicopter crashed off the coast of Mayo last week, and it is unconfirmed who has been found. The naval services found the body late last night and were unable to remove the body from the helicopter, as dives were called off for the night due to worsening conditions undersea. Other dives were performed in the area to locate the other two members of the crew, but so far they have failed to be located. More to follow.
