Tragic news from Cork.
An Garda Síochána have confirmed that the body of missing woman Frankie Devlin was found today (9 October).
The 67-year-old had been reported missing from the Garryvoe area of Cork at around 10.45pm on Saturday night. She had last been seen outside the Garryvoe Hotel.
Devlin’s disappearance had been described as out of character by her family, and there were worries that she was confused or distressed.
An extensive search had been undertaken by Gardaí, family and volunteers in the past four days, and her body was recovered on Wednesday.
