The woman is believed to be in her 50s.
The body of a woman has been discovered in the sea off the coast of Wicklow.
The body was discovered near Arklow at around 5.45pm on Wednesday, 3 July.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her body has been moved to Loughlinstown Hospital, where a post mortem will be carried out.
An Garda Síochána said that an investigation has been launched.
The results of the post mortem will determine the course of the investigation.
