An investigation has been opened.
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a body of a woman in unexplained circumstances in Kerry on Monday, 15 August.
At approximately 1.15pm, the body of a woman aged in her 70s was found in a residential property in Ardshanavooly, Killarney.
At the time of writing on Monday evening, the body remains at the scene which has been preserved to allow for a technical examination to be conducted.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
