The body was discovered today.
Gardaí are investigating an incident of sudden death that occurred Sunday, 8 September at Drumboe, Stranolar, Ballybofey.
Following a search operation by Gardaí and Coast Guard at the River Finn, the body of a woman in her 60s was recovered from the water.
The body has been removed to the mortuary in Letterkenny Hospital where a post mortem will take place.
A file will be prepared for the Coroner’s Court.
