Legendary singer Bonnie Tyler, known for hits including 'Total Eclipse of the Heart', 'Holding on for a Hero', and 'It's a Heartache', has died at the age of 75.
The news of the famous Welsh singer's death was announced on her website.
It read: "Bonnie's family and team are heartbroken to announce that Bonnie unexpectedly passed away last night in hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness that she was being treated for."
It comes after the musician from Skewen, south Wales, was placed into an induced coma in May after undergoing emergency intestinal surgery in Portugal.
Last month, her spokesperson said she was out of the coma but remained "very unwell and in intensive care".
The singer was born in 1951 as Gaynor Hopkins and grew up in a council house in Neath.
She released her first single 'Lost in France' in 1977 after being discovered by a talent scout in a club in Swansea.
Tyler topped the charts in the UK and US with her hit song 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' in 1983.
She also received a Grammy nomination for the song.
The Welsh singer even represented the UK at Eurovision in 2013, finishing 19th out of 26.
She was made an MBE for her services to music in 2023.
She is survived by Robert Sullivan, her husband of more than 50 years.
