Have you picked up a Brennan’s Bread Family Pan this week?

If so, you might want to check the date on it – and not just because it might be going stale soon.

The company’s bakery has issued a recall for all 800kg Brennans Bread Family Pans with a best before date of May 20, 2016 and a Code 18 according to the Irish Independent.

The recall has been issued over the worry that some sliced pans may contain ‘laminated paper’. Brennans, known for their ‘Today’s Bread Today’ slogan have been quick to reassure consumers that there is no risk to anyone who has already consumed their product.

“However, given Brennans’ high standards of food safety, taste and quality, the company is taking the step of recalling the product.”

Customers are entitled to contact the Joseph Brennan Bakeries in in Walkinstown, Dublin with a receipt and packaging in order to claim a full refund.
